MEETING WITH ABRAHAM -- TRUTH
JANUARY 29, 2001
WOODS CROSS GROUP

I am ABRAHAM. Greetings. I love our dialogue here this evening. Each ones
outlook builds onto each individuals view of truth.

When our Master walked the earth He did need to build a strong and
courageous character. His life's experience trained Him for His life's work.
He could see as a child how adults complicated, twisted or bent the truth.
He could see as a child He had not the authority to state the truth as He
envisioned it. It was then true, and still is, that those of experience are
somewhat of an authority with truth, where the young are not taken
seriously. In all actuality more children are truthful than are adults.

The Master could be found giving a hard truth to an individual or depending
on who He was talking to, gentle fragments of truth. The Master could draw
out people and perceive the flavor of their personality and from that, He
could give His truth. He recognized some individuals would only accept His
words through straight hard truth, truth with passion and power. Some
individuals, who were bound by ego, He was careful in how He put forth His
words. He knew it did no good to force truth on those who would not have it.

Just as it is today, your universe caretakers give you truth in a manner
that you will receive it best. Sometimes truth is best received through
life's hard lessons and sometimes it is through small insignificant daily
tasks. On the Master's lips was always this small prayer: "Father, your
will, not mine, be done. Allow Me to be a vessel for your works." Jesus
looked at truth as a ever-flowing current of energy, subject to
transformations. Jesus told His truth as He perceived it from the Father.
Through much time spent in devotion and stillness His communication with
Father was instant and always accurate.

He could minister to His fellows through the eyes of Father in a manner that
Father saw fit, not how He personally would perceive them. The Master could
have defended Himself at the end of His mortal life with His truth, but He
was more aligned with the Father's will, and if it would have caused
spiritual progress, He would have spoken up. The Master could accept the
hard truth of mortal life. This does not mean He felt no affects from it.
Many times did the Master cry and reconcile with Himself with truth. While
there was the mortal pain of truth--there was always a divine comforting
explanation.

You have been called the ambassadors of truth and you have had opportunity
to share, and you have done well. You are learning those techniques of the
Master:
Number one--to draw an individual out and discover the nature of their
character and how they will best receive the good news.
Number two--to rely upon that ever moving flow of Spirit direction and
allowing Father to use you as a vessel for His works.
Number three--to learn to reconcile yourself with divine truth and be
accepting of the hard lesson, but a hard lesson is also not always necessary
for learning about truth.

It has been said that only the strong have the courage to speak the truth
without fear of repercussion. Many fear sharing their truth, for they will
possibly receive ridicule or loss of love or respect. They tiptoe around the
truth as if they were protecting themselves. If the Master would have done
this His life may have been prolonged, but the Master's love for Father and
the desire to do His will, would not allow Him to protect Himself. He relied
on Father to use Him in a way that would be best suited for the whole. Logic
told the Master how to deliver His truth, but always He relied upon Father
for the words.

Many historical books would describe the Master as meek. Many believe that
to be meek is character weakness. Our definition of meek is to not be
self-saving or self-serving, but to be more focused on, "How can I best
serve?" In that definition the Master was meek, but in no way is He to be
perceived as a gentle and holding back, afraid to hurt others, afraid to be
seen as a mean person. He was the best example of a mortal who was empowered
by those On High who would embrace truth and disperse it with wisdom. His
life was certainly an example of true beauty. Beauty will be our topic for
discussion next week. A few questions?

CALVIN: I gather, Abraham, you're trying to get us to understand how to
lovingly disperse truth in a way that would be most effective to the hearer
and use our logic to know how best to do that. That is all I guess.

ABRAHAM: Yes, Yes, my son, you are well experienced in this area. There is a
goodness within the human soul that desires to save people from their own
misguided thinking. There is not an allowance for the natural evolution of
the mind to take place. In dispersing our truth the best we can hope for is
to plant seeds. We can be available to tend to those seeds. We can answer
questions and encourage, but we can't force those seeds to grow and you
never know when someone may be planting seeds in your direction. We must
always stay open to that flowing current of divine truth, yes. A question?
AZSURAY: Yes Abraham. I have just been served papers and excommunicated from
the Mormon church because of my beliefs in contrary to theirs in the Urantia
Book. I am very eager to put forth truth, but maybe with your wisdom and
your understanding of me and know the depths of me, how I should handle this
that would be pleasing unto the Lord? I know that is a difficult question.
Sorry. I humbly ask you this.

ABRAHAM: Certainly. My daughter, you already know how to handle this. The
Master, even in front of His accusers, would still hold a deep affection for
them. He saw not their ignorance but their status as children of God--His
brethren. He would not use this time to rebuke their ignorance, but if they
would have had it, He would have lovingly ministered unto them. This event
can be used to plant many seeds, but you must use wisdom and rely upon the
words of God within. Sometimes it is just random life experience that leads
you to one religion or another, one faith or another. Remember that everyone
is acting from a place that they know best. You are a daughter of grace and
I have faith in you to carry on with your highest light. Yes. Another
question?

If there are no more questions we would remind you to study on the different
aspects of truth and prepare yourselves for the upcoming lesson on beauty.
As always my love goes with you. Until next week, shalom.
