Invocation
*September 11, 2017*
*MACHIVENTA:* Good morning, this is Machiventa; let us begin.
*Implementation of programs*
Some of you are feeling the excitement of implementation. Some of you see
this more clearly than others, and some of you are directly involved in
what is occurring in the developments that are upon us. You understand
that I am the Planetary Manager and that my work involves overseeing these
programs and assisting the angelic corps and the midwayers and many others
to work together in the programs that Monjoronson as the Social Architect
of these programs has designed. You and the midwayers are feet on the
ground; you are our “sandals on the ground” rather than the boots on the
ground. This is a peaceful endeavor and one which is persevering and
continuing and immensely intentional.
Urantia is unique in that it is a planet that is under the intentional
social, political, economic and spiritual evolution of its origins, origins
that went askew long ago, but now are getting back on track. And when I
say, “back on track,” does not mean that everything is working fine, but
simply that we have begun. Our intention is clear; the programs work
together as many shingles on a roof so that everything complements each
other. There is a oneness to the whole, though much of the oneness has yet
to be initiated. We could not do this without you as you are our
co-creative partners in this, as are the midwayers who are co-creative with
you. You have much to rely upon and many resources that are available to
you. It is much too early to report on any program progress or project
progress at this time. I will leave that to another time as we can note it
and share that with you.
If you have questions, please bring them forward.
*Comment on “The Lessons of History”*
*Liz:* Good morning, Machiventa, my friend Jeff Cutler has sent a question
for you today. This is a quote from a book called, “The Lessons of
History” by Will and Ariel Durant, and he asks for your comment on this
quote: “That nature smiles at the union of freedom and equality in our
utopias, for freedom and equality are sworn and everlasting enemies, and
when one prevails, the other dies. Leave men free and their natural
inequalities multiply almost geometrically, as in England and America in
the 19th Century under lays a *laissez faire*. To check the growth of
inequality, liberty must be sacrificed, as in Russia in 1917. Even when
repressed, inequality grows; only the man who is below the average in
economic ability desires equality. Those who are conscious of superior
ability desire freedom, and in the end, superior ability has its way.
*MACHIVENTA:* What is missing from this quote and the insight of the
authors is the evident narrow-mindedness of humans to be egalitarian while
being free. It is necessary that there is compromise, but more than
compromise there must be compassion and empathy within the individual. The
interpretations and reflections of the authors are very narrow, that they
take into account only a narrow interpretation of the events of these
revolutions in Russia and the United States and the developments of the
‘20s. There is a lack of planetary perspective that is evident here; there
is not the perspective of what is good for all people. This is an
essential part of being a human, of being humanitarian is to consider the
freedoms of others, rather than selfishly expressing your own at the
expense of others. These individuals have graduated and now they
understand more fully what they could have written in that book. We thank
you for your question.
*The Covenant with Abraham*
*Liz:* Thank you very much. I have another question: In my study group
we have been reading about the great covenant with Abraham, and according
to the *Urantia Book*, this is the great Urantian agreement between
Divinity and humanity, whereby “God agrees to do everything, man only
agrees to believe God’s promises and follow his instructions.” Now, I
understand that during these times, grace was thought to be acquired
through sacrifice and that that was something that needed to be remedied.
I’m wondering if there is a broader, more important interpretation for the
modern times of this particular phrase, “God agrees to do *everything, *and
man only agrees to believe
God’s promises and follow his instructions.”
[This is *Daniel:* What is this business about sacrifice? It’s like a
blip in the middle of a good question.
*Liz:* In the context of the times, when Abraham was alive, they thought
to curry favor with God by offering sacrifices—animal sacrifices—and that’s
the historical context of this particular event. The covenant was made
with Abraham that faith is the only necessary key to the kingdom.]
*MACHIVENTA:* One moment. Within the context of that agreement regarding
sacrifice, what was involved in the kernel of the thought in the times of
the statement that man, humanity, only has to have faith. It was a
momentous step in the religious/spiritual evolution of the beliefs of the
time by Abraham, that this was the moment that the human sacrifice was
changed to animal sacrifice. This is a significant and important juncture
in the primitive belief system of an ancient tribe. Human sacrifice was
thought necessary as this is the highest gift that could appease an “angry
god” and to seek favor by the humans.
Let us strive to apply this to modern times and to that interpretation,
i.e., belief is only necessary and God will do everything else, then you
have completely missed the point of the Correcting Time as given by Christ
Michael. These must not be confused or amalgamated, but must be taken
separately. There was much that was repugnant to us in the belief system
of the ancient Hebrews. Sacrifice of the oldest son is abominable and
needed to have been changed, and yes, Abraham was spoken to by his Thought
Adjuster at that time in the form of an angel, that sacrifice of the oldest
son was no longer necessary and that the best of a herd of cattle or sheep
would be sufficient to satisfy that ritual.
You understand that this was a contextual situation for the times of that
ancient religion?
*Liz:* Yes, I do. And so my question is, nevertheless the *Urantia Book*
calls it the “great agreement between Divinity and humanity,” and because I
do understand the ancient context, if there is a context in modern times
for this particular statement.
*MACHIVENTA:* Yes, there is, and the context is this: That when you have
true faith and you have true understanding of the benevolence of God, you
will understand that your behavior must likewise reflect that goodness.
There is no sacrifice necessary other than the sacrifice of your ego, your
selfishness, and your need to dominate and control others. There is a need
to sacrifice your anger, your own wrath to become loving and kind to
yourself and to others as God is to you. Were this the case in all people
to have this kind of faith, then your world would be much different and
there would be peace among you at this time. As you can see, that did not
become the “peace that passes all understanding” and the sacrifice that is
necessary to bring about a stable and peaceful society has not occurred.
Therefore, the agreement between humanity and God has been violated by
humanity and not fulfilled. What is necessary to fulfill that now is the
co-creative participation of Divinity and humans in the work to bring your
world into peace, stability and social sustainability, and eventually the
Days of Light and Life. This is a most difficult process and project to
initiate and one which will take centuries to culminate. Do you see this
difference now?
*Liz:* Yes, of course, I do. Thank you very much for your answer.
*Presentation of this material*
*Roxie:* I have two questions from readers. The first one, a reader feels
that he does not have the credentials to present this material to schools
and other avenues of interest and he would like to know how people like him
can be of assistance to those who are presenting this material. He asks,
“Following on from Machiventa’s responses to Liz in NET #21 concerning
Melchizedek Schools of Leadership, is it possible to clarify how the
largely non-academic readership can assist Jeff Cutler, Daniel, and others
in their efforts to bring this material to the attention of educators at
the university level, as well as in secondary and elementary schools?”
*MACHIVENTA:* One moment. We can appreciate your humility in presenting
this material to the broader society you live in. You do not need to have
credentials to present this to individuals who are educational or cultural
leaders in your community. You simply have this in hand and see it and
recognize it as valuable and that it may be of assistance to those in those
situations and those positions of influence, particularly in education.
The receptivity you see will be seen at the level where social difficulties
are most prevalent in the school environment, particularly in your in
middle schools, junior high, and secondary schools. This is where the
educators are meeting the face to face problems that children are having as
they move from childhood into adulthood. This is where answers are most
readily accepted, where there is an opportunity to nurture thoughts of
other possibilities and probabilities, rather than the trite way of
educating children in those ages. Many educators are looking for new ways
of presenting the materials, new ways of reflecting upon the society in
ways that children in secondary schools can understand, and ones that help
the teachers and administrators believe in what they are doing for the
long-term and the strategic good of the nation and their society.
Think not of This One, or the others who are working at the university
level, but think of your local community and the problems that they are
having. Get to know your principal, teachers, administrators, and your
district superintendents, so that they may come to know you personally and
that you come with a gift to them. Ensure that what you provide to them is
innocuous, that it does not have material in it that may be offensive.
This One had the experience of presenting an early copy of “Understanding
Social Sustainability” that contained references to his channeling and
psychic abilities. This was shocking to the individual who received it,
and because of that it was not carried forward to his peers and to others
who might receive this information gladly, therefore it was kept from the
larger audience. “Clean copies” are available from the web site of This
One. https://sites.google.com/view/danielraphael
*Roxie:* Machiventa, our avid reader in Russia, who is in the process of
planning to create an intentional community that is based on the 7 core
values, has several questions concerning the development of the monetary or
other system based on higher values. Will you entertain his questions on
this topic?
*MACHIVENTA:* The monetary system is the least of your concerns.
*Roxie:* Then I do not have any other questions. He had a long list of 7
questions that we will have to leave for another time. Thank you.
*Finding the balance in life*
*Doug:* I have a question. Since the 21st of August, you said was the
inauguration of events, I feel compelled to abandon my leisure time to work
harder on these projects. I feel like I should abandon my daily routines
as well, to try to work harder. Is that becoming too fanatical or is there
a balance there in my urges?
*MACHIVENTA:* You have the answer right on the tip of your tongue—it is a
matter of balance. You must have leisure time, and you must have
activities that are good for you, as well as activities that are good for
society. You do not have to do everything at once, and we ask that you
truly do not take a fanatical lopsided perspective of this work. Thank you
for your question.
*Doug:* Thank you.
*MACHIVENTA:* Hearing no more questions, are we at a close? (Group: No
more questions.)
*Movement from theoretical to pragmatic*
As you can see from the context of our discussions, we have moved from the
theoretical to the pragmatic, from that which is simply a concept to that
which is applicable. This causes a shudder, sometimes a stutter, and
sometimes a hesitation in the questions and in the development of thought.
The question now for many of you is, “How do I apply myself?” as we heard
in the last question. Do I dedicate all my life to this, or does it become
a wonderful part of my life and living? It is the latter. The question
asked beforehand about to whom do you share this information. That is to
be done locally, with considerations for values and for how this work
contributes to your society. This work must dovetail with families and
education; these are the two primary social institutions in any society
that give that society the possibility and probability of entering into a
future existence which may become more stable and peaceful.
*Consider the intention of what you are doing*
What is important, too, is to consider the intention of what you are
doing. It is important that this be done locally by individuals who
believe in the material, who believe that others would believe in it
too—those individuals who share like-opinions, like-values and
like-concerns for their community and their children and next generations.
This is a very definite, evident, and necessary part of the implementation
and how to pragmatically move ahead. When you ask, there will be times in
your meditations where you will receive answers, and to ensure that, please
enter into your meditation with an intention. It can be a very loosely
devised intention that would help you and help your community as you are
best able to. Your Thought Adjuster, your Guardian, and your Celestial
Teachers have thoughts about how to assist you in fulfilling that portion
of your life that you seek to find meaning in, and for this we give great
thanks. Good day.
