Oh, these words from Minearsia are just so important, so good!!! Thank
you for sharing. There are times when I hear something from our own
teachers, and I know they are saying what I need to hear, but hearing
it somewhere else is just somehow critical to allowing myself to take
it in. (And thanks, Bob D. for the question!!)

Yes, that "ego" part really is a small, sometimes damaged child,
sometimes all puffed up, sometimes raging, sometimes feeling like
nothing will ever be good enough. "We did well, didn't we" with hugs.
Yes!

I have worked on this one and it is going much better. I used to beat
myself up endlessly. this is one success. I don't do this as much
anymore, not even close. I still get insecure, but I understand better
why, having looked back in order to move forward. And it's easier to
forgive myself for something there is no need to forgive!

This is just so crucial!! Do not be afraid of having ego, of being
animal - this is who we are, where we are - our first life experience.
Life it as best as we can. Accept this life for what it is. This puts a
finger on my difficulties with some who want to say we have no
problems, that a lot of our life is not real, that we just need to
think like we are not animals, etc. Which would be to miss the entire
point of this life. Accepting ourselves for where we are - among other
things, it sure leads to better acceptance of others for where they
are!
Just wonderful stuff - have to go eat dinner now and can't finish
reading, but am filled with gratitude to the teachers, Minearsia in
particular at this moment, and Pocatello group for sharing.
Love,
Thea
