Opening Prayer

Daniel (Bill):  "My friends, this is Daniel, your teacher, guide and friend,
smiling along with you as you are so light-hearted this evening.  The many
moods of life that mortals experience are indeed more abrupt, more
changeable, more severe than the intervening period beyond mortal death,
that morontial state.  We have our humor and we have times of concern, but
mostly we are able to see with a perspective that embraces much more of the
totality of reality.  Whereas you people, in mortal condition, are very
limited by your brief period of time that you have been in existence, as
well as by the limited information that this formally darkened planet could
provide.  Therefore, we are happy to see you jesting and playing with each
other, as it were, like children play, enjoying your trust and your
reciprocal openness to each other.  

I thank you for welcoming our new member, Ralph, with such disarming ease,
and developing the skill of listening, as you are all displaying more and
more as time goes on.  Indeed are there common experiences which you share
to a certain degree, but never can you really walk in another's shoes.  This
does not mean that you should not seek to be empathic, for you should.  And
the similarities of your experiences touch at those connection points of
thought and emotion that place an interpretation in your minds so that while
your experiences are never identical you do understand the same feelings.
You can identify a mental or mood state by its flavor, and therefore, you
can truly assist one another.  It is exactly this kind of open interaction
that betokens the path to true maturity, and indicates you have triumphed in
many a battle with your animal nature and its associated fears.

As you gain more experience and your broadened view includes more fixtures
on the landscape of reality, you are better able to see how all things
interact and connect, and you are able to understand the meaning of balance.
As you strive to grow spiritually, which I know is all of your desire,
understand that the first step always entails an enlarging perspective.
Spiritual growth is completely intertwined and associated with mindal
growth.  And mindal growth embraces both cognitions and meanings, as well as
emotions and feelings.  

So, as you find yourselves like skillful dancers able to move from one step
to another easily, from light-hearted play to serious talk to loving
feelings and an open, trusting heart, you demonstrate the power of making
choices, which entails turning over to God for direction.  After your
perspective has widened and you have understood more, then, of course, comes
the time for practice when you try out your broader understanding in your
life, like the dancer who has been shown the steps, then proceeds to dance.  

At the center of your life is God, the fragment of divinity, the crystal of
radiant beauty, your true contact with the First Source and Center.  And
like a lens, does this crystal receive the energy of love and disperse it
throughout your multifaceted life, illuminating first one thing and then
another as you allow light to penetrate and illuminate that part of your
life.  The crystal, representing the Thought Adjuster, does not need your
control, your concern, but does need to have your permission to shine down
into the deep recesses of your soul, that true light which brightens every
being throughout the universe of universes.

When you wonder what it is that you need to do to receive guidance, pull
away the curtain that blocks that facet of the crystal from emanating the
light into that part of your mind and soul.  Give permission to your
Indwelling Spirit, for God awaits your consent for guidance.  

I hope that these concepts were not confusing, for when I said that you
don't need to worry about controlling your Indwelling Spirit, I was not
implying that free will has been abrogated.  Your choice is to trust that
this light within you will guide you faithfully, unmistakably, perfectly.
Your own thoughts and mind, the appraisals of your ego-self, are not
trustworthy because you are a finite, because you are imperfect and in the
process of perfection, not perfection itself.  But this Indweller, this
piece of God, as it were, has the perfect plan for you, which it is your
privilege to discover.

At this time I will conclude my part of the evening and allow for our next
guest, participant, their place on the docket.  One moment."

Minearisa (Cathy):  "Dear friends, this is Minearisa.  As Daniel has so
eloquently stated, you are all searching for balance.  In order to achieve
balance, there must be interaction between your mind and your Indwelling
Spirit.  Much like an athlete must bend and stretch and limber himself
before a race, so must you become more flexible in your thought patterns.  

If you picture in your mind a large grassy area, such as a quad, which is
heavily traveled with foot traffic, you will soon begin to see paths worn
into the grass where it is simply easier to follow in the footsteps of
another than to forge your own way.  This happens even on a simple commute
to and from work.  You tend to get into a rut, into a pattern, and as you do
this you stop focusing on what is around you because you know exactly what
lies ahead.  

This gives your mind time to rehash conversations, to think about what it
was I 'should' have said, what it was I 'should' have done, to replay
interactions.  And as you lose yourself in what could have been, what should
have been, what might have been, you're not paying the slightest bit of
attention to where you are in the here and now.  

Now take this analogy and try to think about it in terms of emotions,
emotionality.  It is far easier to react in old patterns than it is to forge
a new emotional path across the grass.  As long as you remain stuck in the
old emotions, in the old reaction patterns, there is not the optimum
environment for interaction with your Indwelling Spirit, for it is giving
you suggestions all the time regarding new ways to approach your
relationships.  

My challenge to you this week is to identify one thought pattern or reaction
which you could classify as a 'knee-jerk' reaction to a particular
situation, and to consider why it is you react in that way.  And investigate
in what way that prevents you from achieving the next level of growth to
which you aspire.  

There is another who wishes to comment.  One moment."

Hashad (Bill): "Greetings to you all, comrades, beloved brothers and
sisters.  I am a guest this evening in your midst.  My name is Hashad.  I
have been in training with Welmek, Elyon, and this evening I am permitted to
greet you.  I am an evolutionary mortal, ascended to Jerusem citizenship
status, and I've taken a temporary side path in my ascension career in order
to view this planet of Michael's seventh bestowal.  

It may develop that I will volunteer and be accepted as a teacher, most
likely for an individual, but this decision has not yet taken place.  You
jest about explicable happenings and postulate that midwayers are involved.
Certainly midwayers have a role to play in many of the material mysteries of
this plane, and yet there are others among the angelic corp who supervise
and authorize synchronicity, as you call it, to occur.  

What I wish you to know is not the mechanics of this care and supervision,
but only of the certainty of your guardianship status, of the friendliness
of the universe at large, and even in close contact.  There truly is nothing
to fear for this planet has been cleansed of all beings of rebel status and
intent.  The fear that paralyzes so many that was talked about was a legacy
of the rebellion and the residue of the unconscious reservoir which you
share with each other.  

I remind you of what you have been instructed in the past, as I have
reviewed your lessons.  And that is that you may actually alter the
unconscious and conscious collective mind of humanity by your positive
contributions.  

My dear friends these words that you hear from morontian friends are true
and trustworthy, but for the most part you need to rely on your own inner
fragment of God and Michael's spirit of truth.  There is nothing more that I
can say to add to the reality which surrounds you, except today spend that
time in conscious communion with God until your sense of connection becomes
constant.  Some of you have experienced some of this constancy, I am told.  

Well, I have spoken long enough, and thank you for listening, and I now take
my leave.  Daniel will return in a moment."

Daniel (Bill):  "My friends, I now invite your questions and your comments.
I am Daniel.  I relish your participation."

Ralph:  "I have a question.  How are my migraines serving me?  Why am I
calling forth headaches?  What's that all about?  Even if that's true; I'm
not sure of the right words to put it in."

Daniel:  "I am Daniel.  I am not personally familiar with your patterns yet,
Ralph, but in general, migraines are stress related.  They also, of course,
entail electrochemical imbalance and muscular tension.  You probably are
like other mortals who, when lacking opportunity for expression of emotions
that are the result of mental interpretations, find outlets through physical
connections, among which migraines are one form.  God does not visit his
creatures with suffering as a punishment.  Some of your suffering is due,
and I use the word 'you' generically, some of your suffering as humans is
due to the natural consequences of error, and sometimes sin, and inequity.
Some of the consequences of imperfection which is in evolutionary process
results in suffering.  And there is even, to some degree, accidental factors
that are involved.  To assume that you personally bring upon migraines, or
bring migraines upon yourself, is somewhat erroneous in that this assumes
responsibility far greater than a mortal is capable of causing and assuming.
Better is it to take the event in your life which is distressful, such as a
migraine, and explore all the options that are available through medicine,
prayer and so forth, than to accept responsibility for such a condition,
with its accompanying guilt and shame.  Has this helped you in any way, my
friend?"

Ralph:  "Yes, thank you."

Daniel:  "Do you wish to discourse further on this subject?"

Ralph:  "I have a lot to be with right now, thanks."

Unknown (Cathy):  "Ralph?"

Ralph:  "Yes."

Unknown:  "This is your teacher.  I am extremely happy to be with you and
discoursing in this manner.  Migraines, my dear friend, allow you to
legitimize your suffering and allows you a legitimate outlet for those
issues which cause you great pain and distress, which you do not feel free
to express in any other manner.  If you take this information to the quiet
and ask for a more appropriate outlet, a way will be opened for you, and the
frequency should diminish over time."

Ralph:  "Thank you.  What is your name.  We should be on a first name basis
(group laughter)."

Unknown:  "That information is not accessible to this TR, but as we converse
more often you it will become evident to you, my friend."

Ralph:  "Thank you."

Virginia:  "Teachers, in the pattern of Nashville, I'm just sitting here
wondering if there's something that I could pass on to Nancy, who obviously
misses this group and would love to be here, but is engrossed in so much
work.  I'm just wondering if there's something I could pass on from you."

Daniel (Bill):  "I am Daniel.  I would admonish all my students, including
Nancy/PamElla, not to forget the importance of a balance in activities,
while at the same time allowing flexibility for priorities which are
presented by life itself.  

Our Master shifted his activities many times in his adult life, between
seasons of intense prayer and communion lasting for days at a time when
great decisions were necessary, to times of physical toil to the point of
exhaustion almost, and other times of great intellectual effort, and finally
times of rest and reversion.  But he never let a day go by without a
constant awareness of his connection with his Father.  He is the pattern for
us all, therefore my answer is as it is.  Look to Christ Michael's life as
an example, but mostly try to emulate his faith and everything else will
assume proper proportion.  These are my words."

Virginia:  "Thank you, Daniel."

Barbara:  "I have a question, teachers.  I have not ... my candle has not
gone on for a long time now, and I have not consciously been aware of being
able to hear you, particularly Daniel and Aaron, and certainly not my own
teacher.  And I don't know if I'm not listening or ...  I guess I'm just
wondering if there's something I can do, because the times that I've heard,
particularly during the early part of last year, were times when I
desperately needed comforting and holding, and you were there.  And now, I
guess I want more growth, and I'm not quite sure how to make that contact.
I think I'm being guided in the decisions I make, but I don't hear the voice
as clearly as I used to.  Have I been abandoned? or I don't need so much
support?  or I'm just not listening?  I guess that's my question."

Aaron:  "Greetings, my friend.  I am Aaron.  To answer your question I would
entertain two perspectives.  The first would be the method whereby a child
of God attunes into harmony with universal energies such that they may
become partially conscious of the spiritual efforts made toward them.  For
the most conscious possibilities we have and will continue to emphasize the
stillness practice.  

The candles have served their purpose, for the largest part, in allowing you
a sense of trueness to the experience which you have undergone, but yet the
actual ministry occurs when you can attune the mind more in harmony with
your Indwelling presence such that we may 'leak,' so to speak, information
through that connection for your benefit.  Building a sense of attunement
would be the most beneficial step you could undergo, in providing a more
conscious connection, not only with ourselves, but with the Source of all
energy.  

The other perspective I would like to entertain regarding your commentary,
my friend, would be your sense of confidence that you are being ministered
too, whether you are directly perceiving of a particular message.  The goals
of the Teaching Mission in its primary stages are to emphasize, rather
amplify, the reality that contact with spirit is a capability, and that you,
as a human family are not orphaned, but are part of a universe teeming with
celestiality, united in a common purpose.  You understand this, and you are
aware of this.  

It is not necessarily required, once this confidence in the reality has been
established, to continually seek for conscious contact when you can have an
underlying sense of confidence that the universe is on your side and working
along side of you.  Then you can pursue life with a degree of participation
and cooperation that does not necessarily require the specific message, but
rather openly accepts the reality that your experiences, that your efforts
in life, are laced with a relationship of spiritual energies -- impersonal,
personal, pre-personal.

We're not discouraging your connection with ourselves here, but rather
letting you know that you are not somehow failing in relationship to
ourselves by not having a directly conscious relationship ongoing.  More
have you succeeded in the implementation of the goals that we foresee for
this planet, that mortals can undertake life with more of a sense that they
are participating with a larger family, rather than an isolated pod
struggling to find meaning.  Do you understand the perspectives I offer to
you this evening?"

Barbara:  "Yes, I do, Aaron.  I thank you very, very much.  It certainly ...
it makes me understand at a much deeper level the guidance I have received,
without consciously listening to it.  I appreciate that."

Aaron:  "And let me follow up to say that you now know that it is possible
to consciously connect, and if at any time you feel the necessity to do so,
the click of a finger, the will of your mind, the pen on the paper, the
voice to the recorder is merely the step you need to take for us to have
this connection.  Always feel free to contact us directly if you feel the
necessity.  You may find that periods of time go by where you do not
directly connect with us at all, such as recently, and then other times
where you, on a more ongoing basis, communicate much as the ebbs and flows
of a relationship.  Thank you for your question this evening."

Barbara:  "Thank you, Aaron."

Daniel (Bill):  "I would add one brief comment.  I am Daniel.  I fully agree
with my partner here, Aaron, and all that he said.  In fact, he took the
words right out of my mouth were I to have attempted to answer.  There is
one other possible strategy which is the, old saying, 'practice makes
perfect.'  If you desire to TR for your own benefit, it is a different
experience than listening in your mind to our comments and interactions.
This of course is strictly optional for you, and you have done this before.
You could choose the avenue of expression, written, verbal, to hone your
skills.  And I know that you have done this before, and I wonder if you
would want to continue."

Barbara:  "The first word that comes into my mind is FEAR!"

Daniel:  "Isaac understands, and I would comment briefly on one other aspect
that relates to fear, which is, as Agondonters, the term in the Urantia Book
for people who believe, without seeing, your experience on this planet is
most fortuitous because you do not have the normal supports which ordinary,
normal planets have.  You know this.  You do not have Adam and Eve to guide
planetary government.  You do not have the usual supports that allow a
certain type of spiritual growth.  

However, you are not handicapped.  Ultimately you are blessed, because it
does require faith in order to make spiritual progress in the absence of
vision.  True, we have encouraged you with use of some degree of vision, as
in the candles, as in recognition of morontial presences, visually to some
people at certain times, as to rather persuasive coincidences, as you would
say.  But ultimately and certainly these are only provided as stimulants,
catalysts.  They are not proof, for the skeptical mind can always find a
reason to dismiss them as figments of superstition.  It requires faith to
even believe in the synchronicities, that they have spiritual meaning.  It
requires considerable faith to open one's mouth and speak on behalf of
another, such as do these TRs tonight.  Your fear is certainly understood,
and it is up to you totally if you should choose to practice these things.
I was merely offering another avenue, which is really not a different
avenue, for in listening within you have to exercise the same faith in what
you hear.  There is a certain flavor of certainty at a depth level..you know
that you know. That stability of the soul is a trust, a certainty which goes
beyond the mental.  And I know, my dear, that you are understanding me."

Barbara:  "I do.  And I thank you, Daniel.  Like every other thing that I'm
afraid of, maybe I'll sort of sidle up to it gently and slowly."

Daniel:  "You haven't forgotten how to ride a bicycle."

Barbara:  "No.  I'm amazed."

Daniel:  "And you haven't forgotten how to trust God."

Virginia:  "Teachers along that very line, maybe I need some validation, or
maybe I need to be laughed at, but I felt that Klarixiska was asking me to
open up the transmissions tonight, and I was so fearful that it was my own
mind, that I said, 'forget this.'  And so, there was a continued long pause,
and finally Daniel said, 'Greetings.'  So I'm wondering if you can tell me
I'm full of it or I'm fearful, it's one or the other."

Klarixiska (Bill):  "Dear one, this is Klarixiska.  What do you think your
answer should be?"

Virginia:  "I want some validation, not some more questions!"

Klarixiska:  "I know you do.  Yes, I did knock on your head.  I did attempt
to nudge you.  We have had many, many, many contacts, my dear."

Virginia:  "It's always been in my safe little room, with the door closed."

Klarixiska:  "This is true.  However, not always.  You have bravely spoken
for me in front of others on numerous occasions, I remind you, in
conferences, as well as with this group.  

I would like to briefly, I promise briefly, comment on this expression from
several of you on fear that you are falling backwards, that you are losing
ground, that you are caving in to fear, perhaps, and my comment is this.
You are creatures of moods, you are not able, in physical limitation, to
understand the true stability of your soul.  Your appraisals vary according
to your moods.  If you feel optimistic, you can perceive more
optimistically.  If you are feeling discouraged, you tend to be biased in
that direction in your self appraisal.  

I do not fault you, my dear, for your doubts.  I merely advise you not to
judge yourself.  If a lesson isn't learned the first time, the laws of the
universe will present it again and again, until it is learned.  Time is on
your side.  Eternity stretches before you.  Be at peace."

Virginia:  "Thank you, Klarixiska."

Ralph:  "I have a question, teachers.  Is it reasonable, is it possible to
do as the scriptures say, that we can do everything Christ did and more, as
far as healing, as far as creating, as far as walking on water, as far as
just everything?  Is it just a matter of faith?  Can it be instantly done?
Does it take years of practice? and so forth?"

Aaron:  "My friend, I am Aaron again.  And I would offer a clarification
regarding some of the commentary in the scriptures about our Master Son.
The Apostles referred to Christ as the Master.  And let us say here, from
the celestial or spiritual vantage point, the view was to see Christ more as
the Master of the commonplace, than as the Master of the miraculous.  For
truly you have the opportunity in your lives to become masters of your
existence as you can submit your will to the leading of your Indwelling
Spirit of God.  

It is of no great benefit to anyone, much less yourselves, if you were to
gain the power to walk on water, to turn water into wine; but the benefits
that will be incurred by all attending witnesses to your transformation if
you can become the master of your mind and of your will, will be most
astounding indeed.  For you will exemplify a child of the Almighty who has
perfected their intent, perfected their willingness to do the will of God,
to become strong in the spirit.  When our Master, Christ Michael said that
'there would be men who would do greater things than He,' he referred to
those courageous souls who would be able to not only master their motives to
become most in tune with God, but who would have the opportunity to live a
most complete life and existence as a mortal.  This Christ was not afforded
due to his status limitations and bestowal mandates.  You do not have those
particular issues weighing for you.  

If you were to become free in the spirit, God conscious and willing to do
the Father's will always, there are marvelous things that you would
accomplish in your arts, in the development of the family, in relationships
to one another, that even Michael could not in his short life in the flesh
accomplish.  But it is always in the spirit of the commonplace existence,
the down-to-earth participation in life that he referred to, and not the
incidental manifestation of his sovereignty that naturally occurred as he
pursued the accomplishment of a particular mission, while he lived his life
in the flesh.  

You will be endowed with great powers as your mind becomes one with the
Father, and there are things that you would even regard as miraculous that
could flow within the capability of future generations of humankind.  But
the actual meaning refers to your ability to become an example to your
fellows through your lives of the universal Source of all things, to the
extent that you can become attuned to God.  I hope this offers you some
viewpoint regarding your question."

Ralph:  "Thanks, Aaron."

Minearisa (Bill):  "Ralph, I am Minearisa, using this TR's voice at this
point. I am aware that you have only briefly pursued some of the writing in
the Urantia Book.  If you read Part IV, which is the life of Christ Michael,
you will discover that the scriptures that you refer to have been
misinterpreted or have conveyed incorrect information at times.  For
example, Peter dreamed that Jesus walked on water, and in his dream, stepped
out of the boat, nearly drowning.  His friends pulled him back in, but he
maintained that his dream was reality.  The New Testament writer was
persuaded that Peter's dream was reality, for Peter was never able to be
persuaded otherwise.  

When Christ Michael did heal nearly a thousand people, it was his Creator
sovereignty in union with his compassionate human heart that requested such
an event at an unconscious level, but his Thought Adjuster allowed such a
wonderful healing to occur.  Nevertheless, very few people who received
healing that night, at sundown, went on to spiritual growth.  That is why
Aaron has told you that the greatness that Jesus referred to was not in this
manner of spectacular, miraculous events, of that sort, but is in the
miracle of a life that is fully consecrated to God.  
So, I recommend, and I only recommend this, take a look at the fourth part
of the Urantia book for a new appraisal of the life of our Master, Jesus."

Ralph:  "I could do that, thank you."

Minearisa:  "You will be most pleased, I am sure.  

My friends the hour is getting late and the TRs are weary.  For the sake of
all of us, we, who do not experience the weariness of flesh, but out of
sympathy and empathy for you, our brothers and sisters, will, therefore,
bring this evening to a close.  Remember my earlier admonition and let us
hear some commentary next time we meet in your sharing, if you will.  My
love, and the love of all, especially the love of God, bless you now and
always.  Until we meet again, farewell."
